This interactive, musical, celebration is led by the Akron Pops Orchestra with help from YOU! The concert features America’s music from Broadway
to Dixieland, Big Band to Jazz, marches and old favorites. The music promises to leave you inspired and wanting more! Experience music from a different perspective. YOU can join the orchestra for a song, like a musical virtuoso! See how it feels to view the audience from the orchestra’s side of a performance. During the Dessert Reception, there will be a variety of string instruments provided for you to try, and music trivia to play with orchestra members.

Dessert Reception includes music trivia, an opportunity to talk with orchestra members, learn about the orchestra’s long history and, of course, desserts!

The Akron Pops Orchestra is Summit County’s oldest operating orchestra. Founded in 1926 as The Doctors’ Orchestra of Akron, the 55 members volunteer their time and talents to bring music to their communities.
