SUMMARY:Third Service / Soap Box
DESCRIPTION:\nThird Service\n\nMade up of current/former church worship lea
 ders & musicians\, brothers-in-Christ\, brothers-in-law\, actual brothers\
, one guys wife\, and co-workers who became best friends… Third Service
was dreamt up in the Summer of 2021. One night outside a beach bar while o
n vacation with their families- brothers-in-law Cody and John were listeni
ng to a couple of guys play the same tired FM radio tracks played in endle
ss loops on every Classic Rock station. Cody said to John\, "We play music
\, right? Why can't we do this but with cooler songs?" To which John repli
ed\, "Because our wives would kill us." They never received permission fro
m their wives but forged ahead by convincing their friend and fellow churc
h worship bassist Eric\, to join the cause. After gigging as a trio and fe
aturing guest vocals from Cody’s actual brother Luke\, and Eric’s soon
to be wife Ariel- the guys saw a need for a better guitarist. The upgrade
came in the form of friend and fellow church worship guitarist\, Nate. A
few gigs later with some more experience under their belts\, the band real
ized they had a keyboard shaped hole in their hearts. This hole was ultima
tely filled by John’s co-worker turned best friend to everyone\, Bryce.
After nearly 4 years of gigging and performing\, these guys haven’t met
a genre or era yet that they're afraid to cover. Most often though\, you c
 an find them playing Alternative\, Emo\, Pop\, Punk\, and general all-arou
nd Rock from the last 40 years. Will they do original songs someday? Maybe
 \, but if not that’s just fine with them too.\n\nSoap Box\n\nAll four\,
except for the brothers\, JM and Casey\, of the band grew up in Akron\, Oh
io—just blocks apart—but didn’t actually meet until years later. It
wasn’t until recently that their paths finally crossed\, brought togethe
r by a shared pull toward writing and playing music.\n\nWhat began as “w
ould you want to play together sometime?” gradually shaped into somethin
g more intentional. After a recent change to members over the last 3 years
\, and the addition of a lead singer with years of experience singing in m
any different genres\, they draw on a range of influences—from 70’s fu
 nk\, 90’s grunge to heavier alt-rock. They’ve been crafting original s
ongs that reflect both where they’re from and where they’re heading. S
oap Box is working on releasing an original album and playing shows around
  Ohio.\n\nDoors: 7:00 PM / Showtime: 7:30 PM\n\nhttps://www.facebook.com/e
